Clarii PRO C20 ClariiOS 3.1 Upgrade Guide

    Release Notes:

    • Supports tone adjustment in the Mixer page, 50 by default for some synth sounds and 100 for the rest.
    • Added texture adjustment in the Mixer page. Breath / bow / key / fret noise are adjustable for 26 sounds.
    • A redesigned Pop Soprano Saxophone sound with greater presence and precise control.
    • Optimized bite control when playing onboard sounds and in MIDI mode.
    • Elevation control can be assigned to trigger vibrato, linear portamento and multiple articulations.
    • RP1 and RP2 keys can be customized as +2semi, +1semi, Off, -1semi, -2semi, Articulation 1/2/3, breath articulation and custom CC and press value.
    • Supports switching sounds by * key.
    • New fingerings (EWI-style): Added new fingerings in which each key has a fixed interval. For example, RP3 key always lowers the pitch by a whole step. Previous fingerings are now with initials ROBKOO.
    • New fingering: Added saxophone fingering.
    • Bis key: Bis key only works for B key in EWI, Hulusi, Dizi, and EWI(F) fingering modes.
    • Key delay: Added key delay levels to 19 levels from 0-70ms.
    • Supports backing up and restoring settings from USB drive, including user bank and all performance settings.
    • Supports global octave shift setting.
    • MIDI Mode can be entered without connecting via USB MIDI or BLE MIDI.
    • Motion CC: Added a on/off switch for sending Motion CC in MIDI mode (off by default).
    • [+]/[-] keys can be assigned to switch between program change or MIDI channel.
    • Breath CC: Supports assigning breath signal to CC2, CC7, CC11, CC74, Aftertouch and custom CC.
    • Accidental press prevention: Pressing + and − keys together exits favorites list and restores the original sound.
    • Other improvements: Breath curve and portamento. Enhanced voice command accuracy and refined menu interactions. Menus scroll smoother and show default values. Press FN+↑↓ to jump among menu sections.
    • For units in Japan: Lowered the volume of voice guide when first powering up Clarii PRO.


    Prerequisites

    Prior to update ClariiOS, please make sure you have the below items ready:

    • A computer
    • USB C cable (shipped with Clarii PRO C20)


    How to Update ClariiOS

    1. With Clarii PRO turned off, press FN button and power switch until Clarii PRO enters upgrade mode.
    2. Connect Clarii PRO with the original USB Type-C cable to your computer.
    3. Download the update file through the link below to your computer.
    4. On your computer,  it shows a "Clarii PRO" USB storage. Copy the update file into the Clarii PRO folder.
    5. Wait 5 minutes for the file to load. Once finished, Clarii PRO folder will be ejected automatically.
    6. Wait another 5 minutes for the Clarii PRO to read the update file. Once finished, Clarii PRO will restart automatically.
    7. Check the version number on the display. If the ClariiOS version is 3.1.10, then the upgrade is successful.

    Alternative Update Method

    This update can also be operated by connecting Clarii PRO to Clarii App. In Clarii App (version 2.2.6 and above), the ClariiOS update will be pushed in two consecutive stages: first V3.1.9, then V3.1.10. Therefore if you are updating Clarii PRO in Clarii App, you must update twice to successfully finish the full ClariiOS 3.1 upgrade. When upgrading to 3.1.10, please ensure you are using a data transfer cable rather than a "charge-only" cable. If the upgrade fails, please try using a different cable, or restart both the Clarii App and your Clarii PRO.
