Introducing 3D Glide β A New Way to Shape Every Note
The highlight of ClariiOS 4.0 is 3D Glide, the first-ever 3D Glide control for a wind synthesizer.
Instead of relying solely on traditional pitch bend controls, 3D Glide transforms the six round note keys into expressive touch surfaces. Pitch bends can be performed on a single note key or across multiple keys simultaneously by gradually changing your finger contact area or controlling the speed at which your fingers touch or release the keys.
Inspired by the expressive techniques of open-hole acoustic instruments such as the Shakuhachi and Tin Whistle, 3D Glide opens up a completely new dimension of performance for wind synthesizer players. Whether you're adding subtle scoops, expressive slides, or fluid transitions between notes, it feels intuitive and becomes an extension of your fingers.
IMPORTANT: 3D Glide requires the Clarii PRO C20 3D Glide Upgrade Kit, which includes the specialized keycaps needed to enable this feature. The upgrade kit is available here.

In addition to the new 3D Glide feature, ClariiOS 4.0 brings a range of improvements to enhance playability, customization, and convenience.

- Enhanced MIDIΒ Performance: Optimized MIDI transmission timing and data handling for more reliable performance with external sound modules and software instruments.
- Expanded User SoundΒ Settings: User sounds can now save additional parameters, including Reverb, Tone, Texture, Legato Portamento, 3D Glide, Bite Range, Auto-Vib, Auto-Vib Rate, Fingering, Key Delay, Breath Adjust, and Breath Curve, making it easier to recall your preferred setup.
- Wi-Fi Update: Clarii PRO can now connect to a mobile hotspot to download and install the latest ClariiOS and sound updates directly, without the need for a computer.

To access these features, ensure you are using the latest version of the Clarii App.
App Update: The Clarii App update is operated via the App Store or Google Play. It is free to download and is fully compatible with Clarii PRO.
Clarii PRO Update: Once the Clarii App is updated, connect your Clarii PRO to the App wirelessly. Navigate to the device's connection page in the Clarii App to start the ClariiOS upgrade. This update does not require a data transfer cable if you are updating via Clarii App.
