What's New in ClariiOS 2.2?
ClariiOS 2.2 introduces a range of exciting new features, playing enhancements, and refined settings:
Added Features
- Roll Motion Control: Clarii mini has always leveraged its high-accuracy built-in accelerometer for expressive control, supporting features like Elevation and Shake & Play sounds. Building on this, ClariiOS 2.2 introduces a brand-new Roll motion control. Now, left and right rotation of the device can be assigned to pitch bend and portamento, offering even more precise control with four distinct roll angle levels (5°, 10°, 20°, and 30°).
- User-Configurable Favorite Sounds: Players can now customize and rearrange their favorite sounds. Each favorite slot can have individual settings for transpose, octave shift, pitch bend range, elevation, and roll control. The OK key can be set to "Fav (Hold to Save)" for easy assignment (hold OK) and quick cycling (click OK for forward, double-click for backward) through 10 available slots in performance interface.
- Breath Articulation: Unleash new expressive techniques! Growl and flutter effects can now be triggered in supported sounds simply by using high breath velocity.
- Extended Octave Range: The OK key can now be configured to provide an octave +3 extension, expanding your playing range.
- Bluetooth Audio: Clarii mini can now function as a Bluetooth audio receiver. This allows you to wirelessly play along to your favorite tracks directly through the onboard speaker or your headphones.
Playing Enhancement
- Express Octave Fingerings: Added express octave fingerings for notes in a lower octave.
- Improved Quick Tonguing: Experience a more responsive and accurate quick tonguing response.
Changed Settings
- Octave +2 Shortcut: Pressing the OK key and the [+1] octave key together now instantly activates octave +2.
- Device Name Display: Easily identify your device with the new 'Device Name' display within 'System - Version Info - Device Name'.
- "Key Sensitivity" to "Key Delay": The "Key Sensitivity" setting has been renamed to "Key Delay," with a new default of 30 ms for optimized response.
- Unified Breath Control: "Breath Sensitivity" and "Breath Curve" have been combined into a single, intuitive "Breath Curve" setting.
- Portamento Option Removed from OK Key: The 'Portamento' option has been removed from the OK key's functions.
- Language Selection Confirmation: Modified to reduce accidental settings.

You fine people at Robkoo are making exciting musical instruments! While it’s taking me longer to get as smooth as I am on brass trumpet (learning additional fingering) the instruments sound and performance is on par with a pro level horn. I believe that soon professional players will use your instruments on recordings and live performances. I am excited!
